Whole Maine Lobsters

How do we get the best lobsters?

Our crew dive into Maine’s rocky coastline for pockets of hard-shelled lobsters.  The cold conditions cause the meat to grow slowly, while the lobster flips his tail to find food.  They feast primarily on meat:  fish, mollusks and crustaceans.  All these factors produce a protein, tender and noticeably succulent taste.  We catch the liveliest bunch from these healthy lobsters.

What sizes do we catch?

We have no control over Mother Nature, but we are amazed by some of the sizes we catch.  Behemoth, 4-pound plus lobsters weigh down our pots and give you a beautiful centerpiece for your next feast.  We size 1-1.15 lb., 1.18-1.25 lb., 2-2.5 lb., 4-4.5 lb. lobsters for your online order.

How do we ship them to you?

After catching your lobsters, we quickly steam them to maintain flavor and texture.  Then we flash freeze the lobsters and get them ready for your home delivery.  Our packing department uses a custom lobster cooler with gel packs and dry ice to keep the lobster frozen for a doorstep delivery.

What should I do with a frozen lobster?

  • Thaw overnight in the fridge so that the meat doesn’t stick to the shell.
  • Brush butter on the lobster’s belly.
  • Wrap in it in foil and reheat in the oven at 350 degrees F for 8 minutes.
  • Serve with a ramekin filled with hot butter and sliced lemons.
  • Enjoy!
